LAB 2|9|3 is a theatre workshop for professionals on the Mathenesserdijk.
Behind the purple door is an extraordinary building. A number of theater makers and companies use different spaces to rehearse, hold offices, organize (public) activities and perform performances.
In addition to a number of spaces that are permanently rented out, there are also two flexible spaces that are rented out to outside parties. A theater hall and a rehearsal studio. Sometimes for a day, but can also be for an entire rehearsal period or for presentations/performances. We can discuss the options together and make a plan for your project.
Theaterzaal
The theatre auditorium is a multifunctional space that is suitable for performances, but also for rehearsals, making and inspiration sessions, workshops and master classes. The distinctive balustrade that surrounds the entire auditorium makes it possible to play with countless different audience configurations. It is a pleasant, large room that borders directly on the foyer, which is also available for hire. The use of the bar and kitchen are also included in the hire. The auditorium can accommodate performances by up to 12 performers. The possible audience size varies, depending on the set-up. When the audience is placed all around, up to 100 visitors can be received.
Pink Room
The Pink Room is a pleasant space that feels spacious because of the light and the fresh wooden floor. This room is very suitable for meetings, brainstorming sessions and rehearsals in smaller groups. A table and chairs are provided, as well as a sound system. The Pink Room has a free and inspiring atmosphere.
The spaces in LAB 2|9|3 are available daily from 9.00 to 23.00 hours. During the last few hours of the day, loud music must be played with the neighbourhood in mind.
