Maintenance

from front desk to large-scale projects

Team Maintenance at SKAR consists of three components: Front Desk, Service Maintenance and Project Maintenance. Together they ensure that everything works and stays working properly - from daily repairs to large-scale renovations.

Front Desk: Your First Point of Contact

Tenants are responsible for maintenance in their studio space, such as lighting, electrical safety and interior window frames. But for other issues, such as a broken window, leaks, a non-working central heating system or damage in the common areas, tenants can easily submit a repair request.

The Front Desk is available Tuesday through Friday, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and is staffed by Claudia and Johan. They ensure that reports are dealt with quickly:

Claudia arranges for contractors to pick up keys and make repairs. Johan is in the properties several days a week to directly address smaller, quickly solvable reports, such as damage in the hallways or simple technical issues.

Can't Johan handle the repairs? Then Claudia engages specialized contractors. Contractors often contact the tenant themselves to make an appointment. This means that the Front Desk cannot always say exactly when a repair will be done.

Service Maintenance: Annual Maintenance by Specialists

Installations such as elevators, central heating boilers, emergency lighting and fire extinguishers are checked and maintained annually by specialized companies. These companies, which have a maintenance contract with SKAR, ensure that everything functions and complies with safety regulations.

Project Maintenance: Larger Custom Projects

Major maintenance, such as roof replacement, façade repair or painting, is handled on a project-by-project basis. After a thorough inspection, quotes are solicited and the work carefully scheduled.

Maintenance at SKAR

With Frontdesk, Service Maintenance and Project Maintenance, SKAR works hard to keep the properties well maintained, even if they are not always delivered in optimal condition. The goal is always to act quickly and competently, but in practice, maintenance can sometimes be more complex due to the age of the properties. We remain committed to monitoring what is needed and finding the right solutions so that tenants do not have to worry about maintenance.
