There are studios available again!

SKAR continues to develop new premises into workspaces for artists and designers. Ateliers will become available again, including in some of our new premises, the HBS at 's Gravendijkwal and the former city archive at Robert Fruinstraat.

You can react until Wednesday 28 October 2020. Send an email to aanbieding@skar-ateliers.nl. You can sign up for multiple studios. Don't forget to clearly mention your name and phone number. If you qualify for one of the studios we will contact you. We will contact you before 4 November 2020.

PROJECTSTUDIO for one year. A spacious studio in the Nesserdijk 406 as of 1 January 2021.

This artist building is located in the beautiful green surroundings of the Eschpolder. Artists work here mainly autonomously. The building has eight large and one small studio.

On the ground floor, a spacious studio will become available as a project studio on 1 January 2021, for a maximum duration of 1 year. In order to qualify for this studio you can mail us your project plan and your interest.

Robert Fruinstraat is a newly acquired studio building, the former city archive. In addition to various studio spaces for artists' collectives and collaborations, the location will also offer space for exhibitions, small-scale events and in-depth programmes. A leading theme will be the relationship between art and the market.

On the^2nd floor a bright workspace is immediately available.

A workshop on the first floor of the HBS at the 's Gravendijkwal. For rent for 3 years.

In the heart of Rotterdam on the 's Gravendijkwal is a monumental school building.

Here, together with GROUNDS and Dansateliers, SKAR is building a new breeding ground for makers, performers, creative entrepreneurs and cultural organisations within the performing arts, starting with music and dance. The HBS building offers space to a new generation of makers, from different backgrounds and with an open and inquisitive attitude as a common denominator. The community focuses mainly on makers who have passed the stage of 'talent'. In Rotterdam a great deal is being invested in talent development, but due to a lack of opportunities some of the makers are leaving. The HBS offers space and a stimulating atmosphere to develop yourself further, to connect, to learn from each other and to enter into new collaborations.

In the old office area of Conny Janssen Danst on the^1st floor of the HBS, a space of approx 47 m2 is available. The space is particularly suitable as office/workspace for a collective of makers or a small cultural organisation. The space has 3 large windows overlooking the square, an original wooden floor and built-in closet.

The room has recently been painted and is available for a period of 3 years.

Storerooms are available at De Wasserij at St. Agathastraat 54.

In our building De Wasserij on the Sint Agathastraat, an innovative fashion incubator has been established since last year n the former laundry of the former Bergweg hospital. In the basement of this building we have created storerooms that are available for the fashion professionals who work in the building as well as other cultural entrepreneurs in the city.
