You can respond until Wednesday, June 30 via this link. Please note: you can only respond if you are admitted to the candidate list or if you are already renting at SKAR. It is possible to apply for multiple studios.

SHARED SPACE on Robert Fruin Street

SKAR and the Archive are looking for artists/city makers to work in the studio building on the Robert Fruinstraat in Rotterdam-West. The building, once the City Archives, is located diagonally across from the Wild Knows.

We still have a number of units available on the second floor. These units are separated by semi-transparent walls and cupboards. They are available immediately. Because of the previous function of the building as an archive, there is a low ceiling of 2.3 metres. There is also a lift.

Spacious studio on Ruivenstraat

Ruivenstraat 39 is a former school building whose classrooms are available as studios. It stands on a courtyard in a residential area, surrounded by a green oasis. Together with Coöperatie ondergrond, the tiles of the square were exchanged for edible plants. The building is adjacent to Hildegardisstraat 8, which we moved into in 2016.

Spacious studio on Lange Hilleweg

On the façade, the striking line of poetry 'Everything of value is worthless again', an anagram of Lucebert's well-known 'Everything of value is defenceless', is written in neon. The neon artwork is by Jack Segbars. This building near the Zuidplein has been owned by SKAR since 1998 and contains 17 studios.
