MORE ATELIERS IN NEW BUILDING on the Berkenwoudestraat 7

On the Berkenwoudestraat, near station Lombardijen, a business premises of over 1500 m2 will become available on short notice. The property is located on a small industrial estate in the district Hordijkerveld and is easily accessible by public transport or car.

The former company building has a large open hall of approx 500 m2 that is very suitable as a workshop or common project space. MORE ATELIERS in the new food workshop at Veldkersweg 27

A new hub for food innovators is being developed on the northern edge of Rotterdam: VELD_KERS.

Food is a growing area of interest in the cultural sector. Food is being discovered as -living- material, and the changing food system as a rich environment for creatives of all kinds; both autonomous artists and cultural entrepreneurs, both hard-core activists and creatives working for established food companies.

VELD_KERS is a place for autonomous food innovators, who think from taste buds to food systems. VELD_KERS is the first place where artistic and cultural approaches to food, development and production come together. Where artists, designers, thinkers, developers and producers of food and food systems meet, collaborate and make an impact. Where production takes place. Where learning can take place through experimentation. Where you can eat food in the place where it is developed.

MANY ATELIERS in the breeding place at Cloese 10

At Cloese 10 in Hoogvliet, a new breeding ground has been established: STROMING.

The worlds of the arts and urban development increasingly overlap, and this calls for a place where a platform can be offered to a new generation of creatives who work from a vision of their environment. Over the next 10-15 years we will be building a pleasant destination with a green and open, outward-looking character.

In the building there are several bright and large classrooms and a limited number of smaller studios available. There is also space in and around the building which can be used jointly. Currently, together with the municipality, we are exploring the possibility of creating space for small residential units such as tiny houses around (and on) the building. Plans to work together with the adjacent primary school (we share the schoolyard) are in the making.

In the heart of Rotterdam on the 's Gravendijkwal lies a monumental school building. Together with GROUDS and Dansateliers, SKAR is building a new incubator for makers, creative entrepreneurs and cultural organizations, based on music and dance. The HBS building offers space to a new generation of makers, with different backgrounds and with an open and inquisitive attitude as a common denominator. The community focuses on makers who have passed the stage of 'talent'. In Rotterdam, there is a lot of investment in talent development, but due to a lack of opportunities, some of the makers then move away. The HBS offers space and a stimulating atmosphere to further develop yourself, to connect, to learn from each other and to enter into new collaborations.
