About the location:
On the northern edge of Rotterdam, delightfully quiet between a park and a small industrial area, SKAR develops workspaces for food artists and food designers. This is happening in a former office building from the 1980s. Spaces are available immediately in this new hub for food innovators and artists: VELD_KERS.
Food is a growing area of interest in the cultural sector. Food is discovered as -living- material, and the changing food system as a rich environment for creatives of all kinds; both autonomous artists and cultural entrepreneurs, both activists and creatives working for established food companies.
